Episode Description:
Upon their arrival to Kyoto, Kenshin and Misao are received by former Oniwaban from the Aoiya inn who raised Misao, with Kashiwazaki "Okina" Nenji quickly realizing Kenshin is Hitokiri Battōsai. While Misao rests, Kenshin tells Okina the truth about Shinomori's group but Okina welcomes him as an ally because he already knows of Shishio's plot. Meanwhile, Yahiko and Kaoru find the restaurant Shirobeko where they meet Tae's twin sister Sae, though Yahiko is more shocked when he spots Shinomori walking in the city. Using the Oniwaban's intel, Kenshin has Okina discover the location of a swordsmith, Arai Shakku, to forge a new weapon to fight Shishio. Instead, they find his pacifist son Seiku, causing Kenshin to stop his request for a new sword. As Kenshin, Misao, and Okina leave, two spies of Shishio are alerted to see him in Kyoto.
