At the front gates of the city, Otto encounters the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony, Lye Batenkaitos. In the town square, Sirius begins angrily attacking Regulus and the unconscious Emilia. Subaru and Beatrice use their combined magic, as well as Subaru's Invisible Providence, to try and rescue Emilia, but fail. Seeing the Unseen Hands causes Sirius to believe Subaru is Petelgeuse and react over-joyously. Before anything can else can happen, the two Archbishops leave, due to following the words of the Gospel, with Regulus grievously injuring Subaru's leg beforehand, which is copied to everyone else in the area due to Sirius' Authority...
