Yoshino overhears Ozu has been hired to murder Kirishima on behalf of the Filipino Mafia members he beat up. Kirishima is angered when Yoshino describes one of the men with Ozu as having red permed hair. Yoshino demands Kirishima come straight away to catch Ozu. Kirishima sends Shoma to retrieve Yoshino from a karaoke bar. Ozu meets a dangerous yakuza member who insists he deal with Kirishima quickly. After the man leaves Yoshino pretends to be an old acquaintance of Ozu's, delaying him from leaving. Shoma reaches the karaoke bar and instead of Yoshino finds Nao. Before Shoma can leave he is confronted by the man with the red perm. Seeing his plan coming apart Ozu abandons Yoshino who telephones Kirishima angry he ignored her instructions. Kirishima claims it was necessary to keep Ozu's thugs away from her. Yoshino yells at him for causing trouble in her family's territory and warns him either to return to Tokyo and never speak to her again, or catch Ozu or die trying. Impressed by her sudden ruthlessness Kirishima offers her a bet; if he can deal with Ozu by midnight then Yoshino has to marry him on his 18th birthday. Unimpressed, Yoshino changes the bet slightly; if Kirishima can catch Ozu and defeat her, all by midnight, then she will be his girlfriend until they graduate from college.
