During the reign of the Empire, Morgan becomes magistrate of the resource-rich planet Corvus and promises to bring jobs and prosperity for the local population. She designs a new TIE Defender fighter but her proposal to make it for the Empire is rejected by Moff Isdain. Admiral Thrawn takes an interest in the proposal and sends his assassin, Rukh, to attack Morgan. After she holds her own, Thrawn accepts her project and offers his assistance.
