First Shrine Visit (Hatsumode) with the Angel Amane’s parents arrange to visit him on New Year’s Day. Mahiru falls asleep in Amane’s arms before he can tell her, forcing him to put her in his bed while he takes the sofa. The next morning Mahiru is embarrassed. Amane’s parents arrive and Mahiru meets his father, Shuto. They decide to visit a shrine, even though Amane is still afraid of people from school seeing them together. Talking with Shuto it is revealed Amane lives alone due to a past incident.
