From another dream he had, Takashi goes to inspect a mansion that has attracted ten scarecrow yōkai to it. He meets up with Natori once again, who informs him of a eccentric, hermit old friend of the once renowned Yorishima exorcist clan whose strength was said to rival even those of the Matobas. Reluctantly, Yorishima explains that "Tookayna" is a game of ten whole nights between said scarecrows and exorcist humans. Once the scarecrows are chased out, they leave the house to its residents. Takashi is disturbed at hearing how such demonic beings they were constructed via forbidden spiritual magics, as was his Book of Friends...
