Tetsuo Tosu meets his daughter Reika for lunch and discovers that her boyfriend Nobuto is physically abusing her. While tailing Nobuto and his friends one day, Tetsuo is seen and beaten up by a man who threatens to kill him if he talks to the police. Tetsuo spends the night in an internet cafe, then returns to Reika's apartment the next day seeking clues about Nobuto. However, Nobuto arrives so Tetsuo hides in a closet where he hears Nobuto talking over the phone about killing other people and how he plans to get money out of Reika before getting rid of her...
