Cartaphilus and Silver are visited by the Horned God and Dark Lady seeking Chise. Chise is worried by her emerging power to enter peoples minds. Lucy asks her to see her memory of the Webster tragedy where Chise discovers the werewolf couple killing everyone except Lucy as the female werewolf refused to kill someone so young. Chise also sees a second young girl present, though this confuses Lucy even further. Liza refuses to unseal the college and yet makes no actual effort to hunt the attacker...
